We have three mainstream teachers in our school and a full time SEN teacher.
The principal is a Teaching principal in the role of SEN.
We are situated in the beautiful village of Bangor Erris in County Mayo. Bangor Erris is nestled between the mountains of Carraful to the north and Knocklettercuss in the Nephin Beg range, to the south.
The Owenmore river runs through Bangor Erris along the school boundary .
School opens at 9.20am School closes at 3.00pm
The school is open at 9.20am which is one full half hour ( 30 minutes) BEFORE school lessons/teaching begins.
This half hour in the morning is broken into a 20 minute and 10 minute section.
9.20am - 9.40am ( 20 mins ) is assembly time where children enter their classroom, greet each other , take off and hang up coats and jackets, use the toilet, are seated and get ready for roll call.
9.40am - 9.50am (10 mins ) Roll Call
Break time is 11.00am - 11.10 am
Lunch time is 12.30pm - 1.00pm
